How to Brief an AI Content Studio: A Checklist | NAZAR

HOW TO BRIEF AN AI CONTENT STUDIO

A checklist for clothing and D2C brands, so your AI photos and video ads come back right the first time.

Short answer: send clear product photos (front, back and details), two or three reference images of the look you want, the formats and platforms you need, and a short note on anything that must not change. A good brief is the single biggest factor in how fast and how accurately AI content is delivered.

1. Product photos

The AI can only be as accurate as what it sees. For each product, send:

2. References: show, don't describe

"Luxurious but modern" means different things to different people. Two or three images make it clear. They can be from any brand, Pinterest or your own past posts. Point out what you like about each: the light, the location, the pose, the colour grade.

3. Where the content will be used

Tell the studio every place the content will go, because each needs different crops and safe zones:

ChannelTypical format
Website and Daraz listingsSquare or 4:5, clean background
Instagram feed4:5 portrait
Stories, Reels and TikTok9:16 vertical, with space for captions and buttons
Meta ads4:5 and 9:16, often several variations
YouTube and website banners16:9 landscape

4. Accuracy notes: what must not change

List anything that has to be exact: logo placement, a signature print, the length of a kurta, the shade of a lipstick, the number of stones on a ring. This tells the team where to focus their checks. If a detail is often misunderstood, send an extra close-up.

5. The customer

Describe who buys from you: age range, city, style, price sensitivity. This guides the choice of model, styling, setting and mood. Content for a Karachi bridal client looks very different from content for a university student buying lawn online.

6. Offer and message (for ads)

For video ads, add the offer (new arrival, sale, free delivery), the main message and any text that must appear on screen. Say whether you want Urdu, English or both for voice-over and captions.

7. Approvals and timeline

Frequently asked questions

How many product photos should I send for AI content?

At least a front and back photo per product, plus close-ups of key details. More angles mean more accurate results.

Can I brief an AI content studio over WhatsApp?

Yes. Most of our briefs, reviews and approvals happen on WhatsApp, with high-resolution files shared through a drive link.

How many revisions should be included?

Agree this up front. Two rounds of revisions per batch is common, with product accuracy fixes always included.

What if I don't have good product photos?

Send what you have and we will tell you whether it is usable. Often a few phone photos taken in daylight are enough.
